The Broncos consolidate third place in the table

The Broncos from Vipiteno placed a big mortgage on third place in the table on Thursday evening. The Wipptal team stopped Asiago's comeback with a hard-fought 2-1 win and extended their lead over their immediate pursuers to six points. Rupert Stampfer gave Vipiteno the lead in the first third before Anthony Nigro equalized to make it 1-1 immediately after the restart. The decisive goal was scored by Taylor Stefishen, who secured his team the important victory with his second goal in the Vipiteno jersey.

The match winner at HC Gröden, on the other hand, is called Luke Moffatt. The North American striker led the Furies to a 3-2 win against Cortina with two power play goals. At times, the HCG had more trouble against the bottom team than it could have expected: the Ampezzo team equalized the visitors' lead twice before Moffatt made it 3-2 four minutes before the end and thus led his team back to winning ways.

In the third Thursday game, Valpellice beat Fassa at home 5-4. The 37th round of the championship will conclude on Friday with the big hit between league leaders Ritten and second place HC Pustertal.
