Rimmer, who is now in good health again, received an AHL contract with the Bakersfield Condors, who were now playing in the AHL, for the 2015/16 season. He was also invited back to Oilers camp and was called up to the AHL twice (6 games, 88% catch percentage and 3,89 GAA). However, he spent most of the season with Norfolk in the ECHL, where he increased his catch rate to 34% in 91 appearances.
