The Buam prevailed in the top game

821 spectators in the Ritten Arena watched the top game between league leaders Ritten and second-placed Jesenice and got their money's worth. The Buam were already 2-0 ahead after the first third, and in the final third it was 4-0 for the home team. But then the guests took advantage of two power plays and scored 4-2 within a few minutes. A few seconds before the final siren, Julian Kostner made the final score 5-2. Ritten remains at the top of the table, Jesenice slips to third place.

In the South Tyrol derby, HC Pustertal played well against the struggling Neumarkter. In the first third, the Wolves were clearly the better team, as the half-time score of 2-0 showed. The Wild Geese put up a strong fight in the middle third, but in the final third the home team secured the final score of 4-0.

WSV Sterzing set off a real firework of goals. The start in the Weihenstephan Arena was slow, but Luca Felicetti put the Broncos in the lead on the power play. The middle section was the most spectacular with a total of seven goals, the Adler from Kitzbühel played an even match. The guests' attack continued in the final third, but Vipiteno countered with another goal to make the final score 6-3.

HC Gröden didn't get out of the bottom of the table, the Furie were dispatched 3-0 against the Zeller Eisbären in Salzburg. Val Gardena conceded all three goals in the first third. After the surprise win against Jesenice, this was the second defeat in a row for the 15th place in the table.

In the Alps Hockey League on Saturday evening everything revolved around the hit Ritten against Jesenice. The Rittners didn't let themselves be irritated and celebrated their 14th win of the season.
