The two graduates of Syracuse University played together in the American college championship NCAA for four years and currently hold the university record for points. The Eagles can also count on two returnees: Valentina Bettarini is coming back to Bolzano after several years abroad, and Franziska Stocker is coming back to KJT in the first Finnish league after a year in Finland.

Fredy Püls from Innsbruck is entering his second season on the board. In addition to the EWHL, the Eagles also play in the EWHL Super Cup, the level of which is a little higher thanks to the participation of the three best teams from Germany. The EWHL Super Cup starts on September 10th and 11th with two away trips. On Saturday the Eagles will play in the Saturn Arena against ERC Ingolstadt (17 p.m.), on Sunday in Grafing near Munich against the German runner-up ESC Planegg (15 p.m.). ECDC Memmingen (German champions) as well as ŠKP Bratislava (Slovakia), KMH Budapest (Hungary), Aisulu Almaty (Kazakhstan) and the two Austrian national teams Austrian Sabers Selection and Austrian Eagles Selection also take part in the EWHL Super Cup. In the previous two games of the EWHL Super Cup, Bratislava beat Ingolstadt 3-1 and lost to Memmingen by the same result.

In addition to the Eagles South Tyrol, the Vienna Sabers (reigning champions) as well as the Eagles Salzburg, Highlanders Neuberg, Southern Stars (a selection of players from Carinthia and Slovenia), ŠKP Bratislava, KMH Budapest and Aisulu Almaty take part in the EWHL, founded in 2004 . The play-off mode has been changed compared to previous practices. After a simple round trip, the teams are divided. Teams five to eight play for placement, teams one to four for the title, each in a simple round trip round. The first after the preliminary round starts with two bonus points, the second with one. The winner is the team with the most points. The home premiere of the Eagles South Tyrol in the EWHL will take place on Wednesday, September 21st at 20.30:XNUMX p.m. The opponent will be Aisulu Almaty.
