The first participants of the 13th Dolomites Cup have been announced

The International Dolomites Cup will take place for the 13th time in summer 2018. The tournament will be played from August 17th to 19th, 2018 in the Würtarena in Neumarkt. Defending champion EV Zug will be there again. The top Swiss club won the 12th edition of the Dolomites Cup in August with a 5-4 win against the Augsburg Panthers. This meant that the EVZ was able to secure the coveted trophy for the second time after 2010.

The Neumarkt organizing committee was the second club to succeed in signing the second tournament finalist for next year. This is the sixth time the Augsburg team has taken part in the preparatory tournament in South Tyrol. After the Panthers won the Dolomites Cup in 2013, 2014 and 2016, the Augsburgers have the chance to make history as record title holders in 2018.

By setting the date early, the participating clubs should be able to plan their preparation for the season as ideally as possible, also with a view to the Champions Hockey League, which begins shortly after the Dolomites Cup, according to the OK.

The other participants in the Dolomites Cup will be signed in the coming weeks.
