The Foxes want to turn things around away from home

The HCB Südtirol Alperia 2016/17 has been characterized by consistency so far when it comes to results - be it in a positive or negative sense. The white-reds lost the first three matches of the season in the EBEL, then celebrated six wins en suite and have now been waiting for a points win for three rounds. On Sunday there was a defeat against Dornbirn, after which Alexander Egger & Co. found their champions twice in Graz (on Tuesday away, on Thursday in the Eiswelle).

The HCB, which had climbed to third place in the table, has slipped into midfield due to its recent failures in the rankings. Now the White-Reds want to turn things around and get back to winning ways this weekend. On Saturday the Foxes will play Fehervar in Hungary and then on Sunday against Laibach in Slovenia. In the duel with the “Devils” Tom Pokel has to make do without Markus Gander, who was banned for one match day by the sports judge. The coach will therefore have to slightly restructure his attack lines, which have only scored two goals in the last three games.

On paper, Bolzano is favorite in both games. Fehervar, 10th in the table, has lost the last two championship games. Laibach is at the bottom of the EBEL, but had two wins against Graz (in extra time) and Znojmo at the weekend.
