The “Furie” want to make the impossible possible

The signs could hardly be more different before the Rittner Buam's guest appearance in the Val Gardena. The leaders from the high plateau have only lost two of the twelve games of the season so far and have now been undefeated for almost three weeks. Meanwhile, the “Furie” are still stuck in the bottom of the table. They were only able to win one of the last seven championship games. However, this duel guarantees further extremes. On Thursday, for example, the best defense in the league will meet in the Pranives Stadium. Ritten goalie Endrew Engelage has already kept a clean sheet five times and has only conceded eleven goals with his team so far, while the Val Gardena Cracks had to fish the puck out of their own net a whopping 59 times. The HCG goalkeepers have so far been unable to achieve a shutout. But despite these sobering numbers, the Ladins are expecting a lot in the duel with their local rivals - knowing full well that a surprise coup against the league Croesus could herald the long-awaited turnaround.

Pustertal and Vipiteno compete at home

Another explosive duel takes place in Bruneck's Rienzstadion, where HCP table neighbors Asiago are guests. After the bitter derby defeat in Klobenstein, the Wolves want to finally find consistency in results and at the same time regain second place. However, the shape curve at Asiago is clearly pointing upwards. The champions are coming from behind after a disastrous start to the season.

The Broncos from Sterzing, who only regained second place last weekend and thus became number one pursuer of Ritten, are hoping for another misstep by the wolves. The Wipptalers have now set their sights on the next “threesome” in the home game against fifth-placed Valpellice.
