The Rittner Buam won the Sunday game

Ritten, which had to compete without Markus Spinell, Kevin Fink, Daniel Spimpolo and Johannes Fauster, had defeated Asiago 24-3 just 2 hours earlier. Salzburg, on the other hand, came from two convincing victories. On Wednesday the Junior Bulls put INL winners Bregenzerwald in their place with 5-0, and on Saturday Kitzbühel even with a 7-0.

The guests confirmed their current outstanding form in the seventh minute when they took a 1-0 lead with Lucas Birnbaum outnumbered. Then the “Buam” threw everything forward and were rewarded in the 14th minute. Alex Frei converted a pass from Matthias Fauster to make it 1-1. The home team's joy only lasted 86 seconds, as defender Stefan Steinacher gave the guests the lead for the second time. Salzburg remained 2-1 until the first break, although Ritten was far more offensive than the guests with 19-8 shots.

Even in the middle third, the Rittner strikers repeatedly failed due to the strong guest goalkeeper Axel Feichter. Only shortly before the break, defender Ivan Tauferer scored the deserved 2-2 equalizer (39.25). At the beginning of the final third, the home team took the lead for the first time. This time it was Matthias Fauster who used a pass from Alex Frei to make it 3-2. But the young Salzburg team didn't give up and equalized just ten minutes before the end with Marek Valach. Ritten then continued to attack and, 15 seconds before the end of the game, came through with Oscar Ahlström for a hard-fought and, thanks to the 47:20 shots on goal, a well-deserved 4:3 victory. For the Rittners it was the ninth victory in the tenth championship game.
