The wild geese continue to tread water

Both teams offered the almost 400 spectators in the Würtarena a balanced duel, with the former EBEL club from the Slovenian capital acting much more cleverly. Zajc and Kralj gave Ljubljana a 2-0 lead with goals each after the break. In the final period, the Neumarkt legionnaires Nedved and Brabenec were able to reduce the score to 2:2, but three minutes before the end Hebar struck ice-cold. He secured an important away win for the in-form team from Ljubljana. Neumarkt is therefore still stuck in the bottom of the table.
