The Wolves grab Nick Bruneteau

The 25-year-old American has already had two positions in Europe and has completed them successfully: in Norway, Bruneteau not only celebrated the championship title with Stavanger, but also recorded the best +/- statistics in the league (+43). The technically skilled, strong development player then followed the call of the DEL2, where he played for the Lausitzer Füchsen and completed his preparation with the Eisbären Berlin. In this context, after Stavanger, he made his second appearance in the “Champions Hockey League” (September 2016).

Before Bruneteau came to Europe in 2015, the former striker (youth level) went through the classic training at the university (NCAA, Vermont) and then entered professional ice hockey via the ECHL. In the first full season in the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL), Bruneteau served as assistant captain and top-scoring defender. The strong season in Indianapolis did not go unnoticed by the European scouts.

Of course, Nick Bruneteau should not just “mix concrete” in the HCP defense, but should also play to his strengths: opening the game, advances, security and power play on the blue line.
