NHL show: Draisaitl reaches 200 points

Berlin (SID) Led by national ice hockey player Leon Draisaitl, the Edmonton Oilers celebrated a goal festival in the North American professional league NHL. With nine games remaining in the NHL main round, last year's quarterfinalists are 17 points behind a wildcard ticket. If Edmonton actually misses the play-offs, it would at least be good for the German national team. Draisaitl could then take part in the World Cup in Denmark (May 4th to 20th) from the start. Meanwhile, Draisaitl's national team colleagues Tobias Rieder and Tom Kühnhackl will probably go to the NHL championship round, even if both lost. While Rieder and the Los Angeles Kings lost 1:2 to the Winnipeg Jets after extra time, Kühnhackl and champions Pittsburgh Penguins surprisingly had to admit defeat to the New York Islanders around German defender Dennis Seidenberg 1:4. However, as second and third in their divisions, the Kings and Penguins have a good chance of being in the play-off race.
