EBEL: Bitter away defeat for HCB Südtirol

Strömberg's goal came too late

Not much changed in the final third. Bozen played too undisciplined and had to react again with one man less. Adam Havlik could have taken advantage of the numerical superiority and secured the decision, but he missed miserably after a beautiful solo effort. Just moments later, Podesva hit the top of the crossbar.

The longer the game lasted, the more the home team slowed down the game. The Pokel team now pushed more resolutely for the next goal, which Kim Strömberg managed to do in the majority (Podesva was sitting in the cooler). Bozen now smelled a fuse, but the Foxes no longer wanted to score. Meanwhile, Znojmo finally closed the bag in the 58th minute when Havlik started the counterattack, fed Pucher in the middle and made it 4-1. That was also the final score.
