EBEL: The Graz spook should end

So far, the Styrians have been something of a fearsome opponent for the HCB: in the two duels of the season, Graz always left the ice as the winner. But that's not the only reason the Foxes will have to push themselves to their limit on Tuesday evening. After a total crisis (between mid-November and mid-December they only won one of eleven games), the Styrians have had a new coach behind the board for four days - and have always won since then. The Styrians left the ice as winners both against Ljubljana and Linz and thus gained a lot of self-confidence.

At HCB Südtirol, however, the engine started to stutter a bit recently. In the last three rounds they only got three points (one win). The Foxes had to accept 14 goals. An unusually high number for a team that previously only conceded an average of 2,6 goals per game. Nevertheless, in fourth place, the Foxes are still clearly on course for the pick round and early play-off qualification. The top 6 place is well secured with an eight point lead over seventh place. Now the Pokel squad is waiting for the guest game in Graz on Tuesday and the home hit against Vienna on Thursday before Christmas.
