EBEL: The Foxes are still alive

In the starting third, the people of Bolzano showed a significant improvement in performance compared to the last games with some combinations worth seeing. This had an immediate impact and HCB Südtirol Alperia led by two goals after just under six minutes. First Ryan Glenn scored, who used a rebound on Luca Frigo's shot. In the middle third, the Bolzano team almost played the guests against the wall and finally the goals came like a conveyor belt. First, Daniel Frank scored his fifth goal of the season when he was outnumbered by sending the puck that bounced back from the boards into Ouzas' goal. After eight minutes, Ryan Glenn played a wonderful hole pass to Gander, who stormed up and away and elegantly played past the Linz goalie. The HCB now wanted more and Luca Frigo increased the score to 5:1 with a curious goal. He passed to the middle from behind the visitors' goal and Ouzas unfortunately steered the disc into his own goal. Bozen continued to press and had the opportunity to increase the lead several times, for example with a powerful shot from Palmieri after a remarkable solo run, Bernard only narrowly missed and Markus Gander missed after a nice pass from Bernard. The Linzers only came in front of the Bozner goal sporadically, but Melichercik was always attentive.

The final section did not bring any major highlights, but the result after two thirds was too clear. The Foxes controlled the game and were waiting for a counterattack, so Sparks did a great solo, but Glenn couldn't use his cross pass. Oleksuk played Frigo free in front of the visitors' goal, but he didn't manage to lift the puck over the opposing goalie . After seven minutes of play, Linz changed the goalkeeper and Janny Florian came on for Ouzas. The people of Bolzano risked conceding a goal twice when they were outnumbered, and Melichercik made the save both times. After eleven minutes, Luoma scored his first goal in the white and red dress with a powerful long-range shot and shortly afterwards Brett Palin made some cosmetic gains with Linz's second goal.
