EBEL: A perfect weekend for the Foxes

On Saturday a 4-2 win in Fehervar, on Sunday a 4-0 win in Laibach - a perfect weekend for the HCB, thanks to which it shot its way out of the mini-crisis and back into the top 4 of the table.

Against bottom side Laibach, against whom the Foxes were never able to win away last season, the game was practically decided after just under three minutes: First Vallerand used a Gander assist (after 96 seconds), then Palmieri pushed a pass from Oleksuk into the goal (after 2:53 minutes). As a result, the people of Bolzano, who didn't yet have new signing GlenMetropolit in the game, let up a bit and kept incurring unnecessary penalties - but Ljubljana couldn't convert a one-minute double advantage into something countable. Things only got dicey shortly before the end of the first third when Pem appeared alone in front of Melichercik's goal after a Slovenian counterattack, but shot wide.

After the first break, both teams played lean ice hockey. Bolzano limited itself to managing the result, Ljubljana achieved little or nothing offensively. The preliminary decision was made by Insam, who put the puck under the crossbar of the opponent's goal from the right side 37 seconds before the third buzzer. In the final third, Egger made it 4-0 after an assist from Insam. As a result, the people of Bolzano can travel home with a clear conscience.

EBEL: A perfect weekend for the Foxes

With an unequivocal 4-0 victory, HCB Südtirol Alperia also won the second game within 24 hours against bottom team Olimpija Ljubljana on Sunday evening and is now back on track.
