A wasted day for the Foxes: bankruptcy in Dornbirn

It was clear early on in the game that the intense match against Salzburg on Sunday had left its mark on the Foxes. Insam & Co. sometimes seemed a bit clumsy, often lacking ideas and often too indecisive. In the first few minutes it was thanks to goalkeeper Melichercik, who repeatedly saved the Foxes from falling behind early with great reflexes. The Foxes only found their way into the game towards the end of the first third, but Reid (2) and Oleksuk showed nerves standing alone in front of Dornbirn goalie Hardy.

Dornbirn is and remains not the HCB's favorite opponent. In three and a half years there were just two away wins for the Foxes against Vorarlberg. But the defeat wasn't a broken leg, at most a small abrasion, which can be healed with an away win at Fehervar on Friday.
