Elite.A: Can Vipiteno manage its way out of the crisis?

The Wipptal team secured their last victory on November 9th. At that time they inflicted their first home defeat of the current season on the reigning champions from Asiago. Instead of causing euphoria, this success represented the last useful result for coach Travnicek's boys before they had to admit defeat to supposedly weaker opponents such as Milan and Fassa.

Now Sterzing wants to drive away the ghost of crisis and get back on the road to success, if possible on Saturday when Cortina is a guest at the Weihenstephan Arena. Not an easy undertaking. The Broncos have always been behind against the Ampezzans this season. The only bright spot for the South Tyroleans is that the guests will still have to do without Ryan Dingle, Andrea Baldo and René Baur. The Bellunese didn't let this deter them in the last eight games, of which they won a total of seven.

Ritten wants to defend his top position

The Italian Cup victory inspired the “Rittner Buam”. On Tuesday, the team from the South Tyrolean plateau prevailed in the championship derby against Vipiteno and is now level on points with Asiago at the top of the table. When coach Rob Wilson's boys meet Milan on Saturday, they want to defend their top position with a win, as the reigning Italian champions will probably have scored no less than three points in the match against bottom team Fassa.

Wolves face a difficult away game

Meanwhile, the Wolves have to play in Torre Pellice on Saturday evening. Not an easy task, as the Valpellice players, who are now only two points behind the yellow-blacks in the table, should have gained a lot of self-confidence with the away win against Asiago on Thursday. With a win they could even overtake the Pusterers in the table.

Elite.A: Can Vipiteno manage its way out of the crisis?

Since the 1-5 defeat in Cortina on November 14th, the Vipiteno team have not been able to experience any success. Now almost a month later, the Wild Horses want to take revenge in the Weihenstephan Arena at home and put an end to the six-game losing streak.
