Eppan only had a difficult time against Meran in the initial phase, but then the Pirates were an overpowering opponent and deservedly got the play-off semi-final ticket with a strong middle third and partial result of 4-0. The Überetscher had to give way to Matthias Eisenstecken, while Meran was able to compete in full. The Eagles started the match better, as Max Ansoldi put Meran in the lead after 5.02 minutes. The narrow lead of the Passerstädter lasted until the 15th minute of the game, when Juha Pekka Loikas equalized for Eppan. After the break, the Eppan team were on the road to victory with a Raffeiner-Rottensteiner double strike within 68 seconds before Campbell (25.00) made it 4-1. Meran then put Quagliato between the posts for a short time before he had to make room for Corsi again, who then had to accept the fifth goal from Campbell (34.23). Things got interesting again in the final phase of the third period when five goals were scored in the last two minutes 38 seconds. Eppan scored three with Campbell, Ebner and Platter, while Meran celebrated twice. But nothing changed about the Eppan team's clear 8:3 victory and the associated move into the semi-finals for the Pirates.

Martin Rizzi was in goal for the home team on Sunday, but the Unterlanders had to do without Domenic Perna, while Turo Virta was on the ice like last time in Turin. Meanwhile, the Lombards were able to play fully, also because coach Massimo Da Rin was able to use the recovered Alessandro Re and Mirko Migliavacca. The game started rough and the home team managed to take the lead from a numerical advantage. Faggioni netted to the Wild Geese's celebration after around four minutes of play. After the opening goal, Neumarktner could have increased the score, but they missed a few chances. And so they were punished 39 seconds before the siren when Lo Presti equalized with a remarkable goal. In the second half of the game, Wilson's team was tempted to commit fouls and Tommaso Migliore was even able to put the guests in the lead in the 29.17 minute with one man more. The Wild Geese kept their nerve in this tricky phase and it only took until the 36th minute of the game for the Unterlanders to equalize. Patrick Zambaldi was quickest after a commotion and pushed the puck over the line. Just 35 seconds after the equalizer, things got even better when Michele Ciresa gave Pasquale Terrazzano a shot from distance. The score was supposed to stay that way because after the second siren the two goalkeepers closed the place. Neumarkt won the Lega Cup and secured first place.
