Final Four: Rittner Buam are in the final

Ritten had to compete without the injured Kevin Fink, but Andreas Alber was available again. The Italian champions won both AHL games against Cortina this year. In Klobenstein they defeated the Ampezzan team with 3-2 goals, in the Olympic Stadium in Cortina the Lehtonen team won 3-1.

The Rittners got off to a dream start and took the lead after just 3.23 minutes. Oscar Ahlström used a pass from his twin brother Oscar to make it 1-0. But the “Buam” joy only lasted 76 seconds until Tanner Burton scored the 1-1 equalizer.

Six minutes after the start of the middle third, Dan Tudin put the Italian champions in front again. The Italian-Canadian coldly converted the pass from captain Christian Borgatello to make it 2-1. This narrow lead for Ritten remained until the second period break, although the “Buam” were far more offensive than Cortina with 34:16 shots.

At the beginning of the final third, the Rittners made the preliminary decision. Again it was Dan Tudin who made it 3-1. In the 45.30 minute Alex Frei also scored, using a pass from Markus Spinell to make it 4-1. Ten minutes before the end of the game, Edoardo Caletti made things exciting again. He shortened the score to 2:4. 72 seconds before the final whistle, Markus Spinell made the final score 5:2.

At 20.30 p.m. host Asiago will face HC Pustertal in the second semi-final.
