Hannes Stofner stays in Vipiteno

Hannes Stofner will spend the next academic year in Milan, and in this situation a commitment to Lombardy would have been a logical consequence. However, since HC Milan takes a different approach to squad planning, this solution came to nothing, and so "Stofi" will continue to demonstrate his skills in Wipptal next season.

The all-rounder, born on September 20, 1990, who, at 186 cm tall and weighing 92 kg, also masters the robust game, has been plagued by bad luck over the past three seasons. First, an extremely long-term hand injury bothered him for almost a year and a half, forcing him to miss a total of 2009 games in the 10/2010 and 11/42 seasons.

Stopped by a knee injury last year

Last year, when everything pointed to a worry-free Serie A season, he injured his knee in the fifth game of the season against Fassa and had to miss another month.

Despite these setbacks, Hannes Stofner has not lost his joy in ice hockey and he will now commute between Milan and Vipiteno for a year. It was agreed with Milano Rossoblù that he could train with the Serie A team under coach Da Rin. On Thursday he will try to be back in Vipiteno in time for the final training. He will therefore be available to the Broncos for all games.

More than 200 missions for the “wild horses”

The almost 22-year-old from Vipiteno made his debut for Vipiteno in the 2005/06 season in the A2 series. Since then, he has played for the Wild Horses 182 times in the A2 series (65 scorer points) and has donned the jersey of his hometown club 39 times in the A2 series (eight scorer points). Last year, Stofner also played for Vipiteno's Merano farm team in the AXNUMX series.

Stofner can also point to a total of 15 appearances with the Italian U18 and U20 national teams. In the “Azzurri” dress, he scored four goals and provided four assists.
