HC Bozen confirms Marco Insam and Markus Gander

Marco Insam (1,88 m x 92 kg) is only 24 years old, but can already look back on several professional seasons in Italy and North America. The native of Val Gardena attracted attention as a youth when he scored six points in five games at the U2006 World Cup in the 18nd Division in 2 and thus made a significant contribution to Italy's title win.

After coming through the Vipers Milan youth department, he moved to Canada in 2006. With the Notre Dame Hounds in the SMHL he scored 55 points in 49 games. The following season he put on the Vipers Milan jersey, where his father Adolf Insam was behind the gang. The Lombards were eliminated in the play-off semi-finals against HC Bozen. Marco Insam ended up with 11 goals and 16 assists, but the highlight of the season was still to come: with Italy's U20 team, he won the 2nd Division World Cup title and was the most successful shooter in the title fights with 8 goals.

In the summer of 2008 he decided to continue his career in North America and moved to the Niagara Ice Dogs. In two championships he played 141 games for the OHL club and scored 69 points.

Three years ago he followed his father to Bolzano and immediately proved to be one of the best young players in Italy. In 134 championship games he scored 86 points (48 goals and 38 assists) for the record champions. Insam won a championship (2011/12) and a Supercup (2012/13) with the white-reds.

Also 24 years old Mark Gander scored 50 points (28 goals and 11 assists) in 17 championship games in Bolzano last year. Two years ago he celebrated his debut in the top Italian league wearing the Vipiteno jersey. He scored 15 goals and 11 assists in 47 matches.

The national player's career began with the Broncos. From 2005 to 2011 he played a total of five Serie A2 championships in Vipiteno and also achieved promotion to the first league in 2012. In total, he made 2 appearances and 182 points in Serie A107.

Gander only left the Broncos for a year in the 2009/2010 season when he moved to the North Iowa Outlaws in the NAHL (51 games, 28 points).

The new acquisition from Bolzano has also been playing in the national team since 2006 and was present at two U18 and three U20 World Cups as well as last year at the B World Cup, where he also scored a goal.
