HC Bozen: If not now, then when?

The Foxes are facing two groundbreaking games: On Friday they go to Villach, two days later the duel with the former series champions in Salzburg awaits. If Egger and Co. were to find themselves empty-handed again after this weekend, the club management would probably be forced to trade. Some players, especially the previously disappointing Dominic Monardo and Mike Angelidis, but also coach Pat Curcio are under special observation.

Curcio: "We have improved"

The HCB coach knows about the difficult situation. “We have continuously improved in the last few weeks,” said Curcio, who knows his team’s problems: “We finally have to understand how to win! We have made too many individual errors so far, we have been working on that.” Still without a win away from home

For Curcio, the next opponent will probably come at the right time, as the Adler from Villach are clearly in a downward trend. The former Bolzano Ryan Glenn and his teammates have the longest negative run in the league with four bankruptcies in a row. The Carinthians are putting all their hope in Miha Verlic, who is the league's top scorer with eight goals.

He will compete with Austin Smith in the ranks of Bolzano, who leads the EBEL scorer rankings with his 14 points. He should ensure that the bottom team finally gets their first away win. Across all seasons, the South Tyroleans have not yet won a regular season away game in the entire 2017 calendar year. However, everyone at HCB agrees: this trend should definitely be stopped at the weekend!
