Home games for Bolzano and Pustertal, Ritten is a guest in Alleghe

Bozen really wants to win the game against Fassa in order to defend second place in the table, but has to watch out for Ritten Sport, which is only a single point behind the white and red.

The regional derby against Fassa starts at 20.30 p.m. Bolzano won the first two direct duels against the Ladins this year with 5-3 goals. In the third meeting, however, Fassa prevailed in extra time. The record champions are also ahead in the overall balance: HCB won 115 of a total of 82 games.

Bolzano is eight points behind leaders Pustertal in the table, but after Ritten's win against Asiago yesterday, it is now only one point ahead of Bruno Aegerter's team. The Rittners are currently quite successful and have won the last five championship games in a row.

Coach Adolf Insam will have to do without striker Christian Walcher on Thursday and defender Mika Lehtinen, who will probably also be missing on Saturday. Anton Bernard, who has recovered from his flu, returns to the team.

Fassa coach Miroslav Frycer has to rely on the suspended Diego Iori. After yesterday's defeat against HC Pustertal, his team slipped to second-to-last place in the table and is now only four points ahead of bottom-placed Cortina.

Ritten live on television The other two South Tyrolean teams will also be in action on the 35th matchday. Pustertal immediately recovered from the defeat against Bozen and shot Fassa off the ice yesterday with 6-2 goals. Tomorrow the “Wolves” will meet Valpellice in Brunico. The Piedmontese fell into a bit of a hole after failing to qualify for the Final Four of the Italian Cup and lost at home to Alleghe on Tuesday. For Valpellice it's about fourth place in the table, Asiago is only one point behind.

Ritten, on the other hand, has secured third place and can even aim for second place. Bruno Aegerter's new team has been undefeated for five rounds and would like to overtake HC Bozen in the table with a win in Alleghe. This game will be broadcast directly on RAI Sport 1 television.
