Hardened foxes cheer in Villach

After four defeats in the last five games, there was a lot of fire at the HCB. A win against Villach was a must - also because the Carinthians were only three points behind Beddoes' team in the table before the game. No sooner said than done: efficient foxes put the VSV in their place with a score of 4:1.

After the 2-0 lead, the guests from South Tyrol had several chances in the power play, but failed to secure a preliminary decision. The Foxes also let around a minute and a half go to waste when they were twice as numerous – and that took its toll. As soon as the penalty against Kevin Schmidt had expired, Martin Ulmer shortened the score from close range. Irving holds on to victory In the final section, the HCB clinched a deserved victory in the style of a top team over time. The well-positioned Foxes defense never allowed the Austrians' offensive to develop. And when things got dangerous, Irving was always at his post.
