Away win! HCB Südtirol before reaching the semi-finals

After exactly 3.04 minutes in extra time, Bozen's Domenic Monardo scored the decisive goal and shook the visitors' block. Like the entire quarter-final series so far, it was an intense and close game on Sunday. Ultimately, the people of Bolzano were able to make it 3-2 in the best-of-seven series with a 3-2 away win in Klagenfurt. This means that HCB Südtirol has it in their hands in the local ice wave on Tuesday evening. With a win, the White-Reds could make it to the semi-finals.

But first things first: Like the previous series, the game early on Sunday evening was not for the faint of heart. An open exchange of blows developed from the start. Because immediately afterwards the HCB received the next penalty. Monardo had to go into the cooler because he tripped. However, the guests saved the tie over time and so extra time had to decide once again. Mondardo scores gold The extra time basically started with a power play for the HCB. However, the guests were unable to capitalize on this. But a few minutes later. Bolzano's 29-year-old Canadian Domenic Monardo rushed forward and scored after a great solo. Unlimited cheering at the HCB and in the guest block. Now the white-reds have the match ball in their hands and can make it to the semi-finals on Tuesday evening in the ice wave.
