Bolzano falters, but Villach doesn't fall either

Villacher SV and Bozen fought a lively duel, although the Foxes acted significantly less concentrated and high-class on Tuesday in Klagenfurt. Mistakes and negligence crept into the HCB game again and again, which Villach knew how to exploit coldly in return.

Before conceding the goal to make it 2-2, the South Tyroleans' parade defensive block failed. First Karl Stollery passed the puck behind his own goal, then Nicholas Plastino lost sight of his opponent so that Scott Kosmachuk was able to slot in effortlessly (34'). Bolzano falters, but Villach doesn't fall either

In Greg Ireland's 50th match as Foxes coach, HCB Südtirol Alperia came off the ice as winners in the Villach town hall. However, the leaders of the ICE Hockey League only got the upper hand in the penalty shootout and won 3-2.
