CHL ticket & league lead: Bozen continues to inspire

With the well-deserved home win - their 6th league win in a row - the people of Bolzano not only got their ticket to the Champions Hockey League, but also overtook the previous leaders Red Bull Salzburg and are now the new leaders of the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga.

The HCB seamlessly continued their recent performances against Graz and put the Styrians under a lot of pressure from the start. While Bolzano disrupted things early on and dictated the action from a secure defense, the 99ers never developed and hardly appeared dangerous in front of the HCB goal. The best of many Bozen opportunities in the first half was missed by Marco Insam, who failed to hit the post after a wonderful move. As a result, most of the action continued to take place in the HCB's attacking third, even if the Styrians now went on the offensive more often. Bolzano's defense, which once again made an extremely solid impression, always had the right answer to Graz's efforts.
