The Bolzano ice hockey fairy tale is coming to the cinema

After the recently ended season in which the Foxes were unable to defend the title, the white and red fans now have the opportunity to relive the extraordinary 2017/18 season in a documentary by Bolzano writer Daniele Rielli. With the title “Hockeytown”, the film can be seen in cinemas from May.

In the first part of the documentary, Rielli shows some episodes from the 85-year history of the white and red club, in which ice hockey legends like Jaromir Jagr (including the second best scorer in NHL history behind the legendary Wayne Gretzky) side by side with local players like Gino Pasqualotto played. The Bolzano writer then talks about the epic comeback from the 2017/2018 season, in which Bolzano, starting from last place in the table, improved game by game and ultimately won the historic title.

HCB Südtirol Alperia won the most legendary championship title in the club's history in the 2017/18 season. From last place, the Foxes stormed onto the EBEL throne as blatant outsiders - an ice hockey fairytale that is second to none. And that is now presented on the screen.
