The blonde angel puts Bozen on cloud nine

The 26-year-old blonde from Canada led HC Bozen to a 5-2 win against Fehervar AV with three goals. His team also put on a completely convincing performance in the second home game within three days.

HCB coach Clayton Beddoes had to make do without Dan Catenacci and Ivan Tauferer, who was weakened by the flu. Viktor Schweitzer was used for this, alternating with the out-of-form Ivan Deluca in the fourth offensive block. Those of the 2.300 spectators who were in the hall on Tuesday against Innbsbruck probably had their first déjà vu experiences in the first third. The HCB continued exactly where it left off after the 60 minutes against the Haie: with a solid defensive game and impressive attacks with strong combinations. However, these initially did not lead to the hoped-for goal. It wasn't until the 18th minute that top scorer Sébastien Sylvestre broke the spell with a shot to make it 1-0.

If Fehervar's goalie Michael Ouzas didn't make the most confident impression when he conceded the first goal, the long-time Linz goalkeeper became a real source of uncertainty after the second break. In the 25th minute he came far out of the box to get a puck out of his own third, but Luca Frigo was quicker and hit the puck in the middle, where Marco Insam hit the empty goal with a one-timer. 2-0 for the Foxes! Just five minutes later, Ouzas didn't look the best again when he couldn't control a Glira shot and Domenic Alberga slotted it in to make it 3-0. After that, Ouzas caught himself - and with him Fehervar. The Hungarians, who had previously been extremely harmless, promptly rewarded themselves for their first cautious attacks with a well-played power play goal from Anze Kuralt, which was, however, preceded by a clear foul on Alberga. Fehervar only creates tension for a short time Fehervar gained a lot of courage from his first goal of the evening. In the final third they took the scepter and initially only allowed the HCB to become dangerous through counterattacks. In the 47th minute, Mikko Lehtonen finally brought the game to life with a goal that made it 2-3. However, the Hungarians quickly weakened their pressure even with an unnecessary penalty. Sylvestre took advantage of this and definitely led the Foxes to victory in the power play. In the final phase, the center went one better and made the final score 5-2 with an empty net goal. It was Sylvestre's 19th point in the 16th game of the season and the fitting end to this all-round successful evening for HC Bozen. HCB Südtirol Alperia clinched its 9th win in its 11th league game in a row against Fehervar on Friday evening. Once again, Sébastien Sylvestre, who is increasingly becoming a big star in the Foxes squad, was largely responsible for the home success.
