Final stop quarterfinals. Just three days after the promising first playoff win, HCB Südtirol Alperia suffered its fourth and decisive defeat in Klagenfurt. The Foxes say goodbye on vacation.

It was a matter of time and the Foxes' vacation was only postponed for 3 days. The incomprehensible expulsion of master maker Suikkanen and the management's bashing were of no use in repeating a sporting "miracle". The team fought, but never convinced throughout the season. The majority of foreign top performers were unable to confirm the good approaches initially shown. Especially in attack, HC Bozen was too harmless and the number of really strong players was far too thin.
It remains to be hoped that the few strong foreign players will be confirmed and more investment will be made in the locals.
