Derby victory: This HCB makes you want more

Nine days after the defeat at the Vienna Capitals, HC Bozen showed its absolute best side. The 2018 champions defeated the Innsbruck Haie 4-1 in the Eiswelle.

Driven by Sebastien Sylvestre, who was still magical today, the Foxes combined well from the start and tried to put Innsbruck in trouble by letting the disc run a lot. However, the guests initially had better chances: the extremely agile line with former Bolzano Joel Broda, Ondrej Sedivy and Caleb Herbert tested HCB goalie Leland Irving several times. The Foxes remained the more playful team, but Innsbruck bravely stood in their way and let the tension increase with every turn of the hand. It wasn't until the 48th minute that there was a liberating cry in the ice wave. It came from Marco Insam, who, a fraction of a second earlier, heaved a Frigo layup in the slot into the net with a slap shot. Now Bozen could no longer be deterred from winning and made everything clear in the person of Kevin Spinozzi. The advanced defender was there after a parried Arniel shot. Luca Frigo secured the last confident home win with a cross corner goal to make it 4-1.
