Foxes fall for the 1st time in 259 days
HCB Südtirol Alperia didn't lose a game for what felt like an eternity. The 2:3 overtime defeat against Graz is the Foxes' first defeat in the ICE Hockey League. When the HCB left the field as losers for the last time, the league was still called EBEL and the corona crisis seemed to be very far away.

Yesterday Coach Ireland was able to call on almost all of the top performers affected by Covid-19. However, the lack of match practice among these players was obvious. The team from Graz didn't have much to offer in terms of play, the 1:1 was a very lucky goal and Fazio's only "mistake". However, luck is also part of sport. Unfortunately, the stars Findlay and Halmo, who were read again, were noticed due to unnecessary penalties. And the Graz team scored goals 2 and 3 in the majority.
The last one in overtime after 28" when Halmo was still languishing in the penalty box.
Nevertheless, I think the potential of the HCB, which is only missing an experienced defender, is sufficient to win the title if the ICE championship is played to the end.
