Comment | There always has to be a scapegoat

HCB Südtirol Alperia lost the final of the ICE Hockey League against Klagenfurter AC 1:4. Dolomiten editor Kurt Platter went in search of scapegoats in a commentary.

Yesterday, HCB Südtirol Alperia not only missed out on their third championship title since joining the league in the summer of 3. He also lost a lot of sympathy in the season that ended.

To the scapegoat:
I cannot share the conclusion of Mr. Kurt Platter, whom I otherwise greatly respect for his reporting. If you really want to find a scapegoat, it was, on the one hand, the lack of a top scorer who was unable to capitalize on the HCB's numerous scoring chances and, on the other hand, the catastrophic (unfair and one-sided) refereeing performance. If the organizers absolutely want to keep the title in Austria, an “ICE” is out of place. The HCB was by far the strongest team in terms of play.
