Monster series extended: Foxes defeat bulls

The unnecessary slip-up at the Pioneers Vorarlberg is a thing of the past: With a completely convincing 5-2 win over the reigning champions, HC Bozen made a clear statement, demonstrated its strength once again and took the lead in the table. However, the mood is completely different at HC Pustertal, which also lost its fourth game in a row at Black Wings Linz. Stefan Mair's team lost 1:2.

The Foxes were able to rely on Angelo Miceli again on Friday, but Matt Frattin and the still injured Diego Glück were missing. The personnel situation for the home team was much more precarious: with Troy Bourke, Ty Loney, Peter Schneider and Thomas Raffl, four key players were missing. This inevitably had an impact on the Bulls' game, as they noticeably lacked some offensive power. Nevertheless, they kept up with the strong Foxes for long stretches. What was particularly noteworthy was the performance of goalkeeper Samuel Harvey, who was preferred over Andreas Bernard and impressed with numerous good saves. Mitch Hults, who was involved in three goals, also deserves special praise - as does the always dangerous Mike Halmo. The three-pointer against what is probably the best team in the league gives the Hanlon team a lot of self-confidence regarding the next, highly explosive game: This will take place on Sunday at 18 p.m. in Bruneck against HC Pustertal. Monster series extended: Foxes defeat bulls

When HCB Südtirol Alperia visits Salzburg, a victory is almost inevitable: outstanding foxes won on Friday evening for the seventh time in a row (!) in the city of Mozart. They are now at the top of the ICE Hockey League.
