Next victory: The HCB scratches the mark of perfection

The national player from Leifers was instrumental in 4 goals in the Foxes' 1-3 win against Vorarlberg, coached by Kai Suikkanen. He couldn't have said goodbye better to Krefeld, where he will start preparing for the DEL season from Friday.

But not only Trivellato, but the entire HC Bozen delivered a performance on Tuesday evening that came very close to the perfection of the ice hockey game: an almost insurmountable goalie, disciplined defenders, safe combination play, aggressive forechecking, a good portion of body toughness and goal threat from all 4 offensive blocks. Suikkanen's tactics don't work But the people of Bolzano also have to admit one thing this evening, namely that they once again only got out of the starting blocks very slowly. Like on Sunday at 4:1 against Villach the foxes kept panting after the guests in the first minutes of the game. Suikkanen, Bolzano's champion coach from 2018, practiced his aggressive defensive game that was familiar from his South Tyrolean days and ensured that his former team repeatedly encountered dangerous counterattacks.

After the first break, Suikkanen probably remembered his statement from the pre-game when he said: “ Everyone knows that Bozen is the best team in the league. The Foxes justified this description with a brilliant 20 minutes as they set the course for victory with a double strike from Mike Halmo and Marco Insam. In the 30th minute it was the Canadian who took the lead after a Trivellato shot and a first attempt by Dan Catenacci. The template for Insam's goal was again provided by the advanced Trivellato, who left everyone behind on the wing and then passed it to his teammate. Insam sank the disc out of rotation. Insam scores twice The man from Val Gardena came into the spotlight again in the final section in conjunction with Trivellato. The defender fired a blueliner towards the Dornbirn goal, which Insam gave the decisive change of direction. The game was therefore de facto decided - even if Dornbirn put another absolute highlight in the 55th minute in the person of Devin Brosseau. The Edmonton Oilers loanee made Gregorio Gios look completely old, moved with speed towards Leland Irving and thwarted his shutout with a cracker into the net. The last goal of the evening was scored by someone from Bolzano: after the newly strong Catenacci won a goal, Anthony Bardaro shot from the halfway line into the now deserted Dornbirn goal.

After their 7th win in a row and a series of 4 games in 6 days, the Foxes now have until the weekend to take a deep breath. But then, with Vienna and Graz, two absolute location determinations await within 24 hours. HCB Südtirol Alperia delivered the next demonstration of power in the home game against Dornbirn and achieved their 7th win in a row. The outstanding player on the ice was someone who played his last game for the Bolzano team that evening: Alex Trivellato.
