Vallini is moving to South Tyrol – but where?

It has been clear since Wednesday afternoon: Gianluca Vallini will turn his back on Asiago. This means that nothing stands in the way of the Bolzano goalkeeper moving to his home country.

Vallini stood between the posts at Asiago for four years, played 139 competitive games and won an incredible seven titles in the AlpsHL, Serie A and the Supercup. Now the national goalkeeper has officially retired Stellati adopted.

“I want to play in my home country again to be closer to my family and my wife,” is how the husband of Kalter table tennis player Debora Vivarelli is quoted by the club. “I would like to thank the club, teammates, staff, fans and the Curva Sud. Asiago will always be a second home,” continued Vallini.

The tug of war for the services of the 29-year-old goalkeeper, who previously played in the USA, at EV Bozen, at Fassa, Eppan, Val Gardena and Vipiteno, has officially begun. At the moment it seems as if the... HC Bolzano win this showdown.

Vallini is supposed to inherit Bernard

The Foxes are looking for a replacement for the backup Andreas Bernard, who moved to Pustertal. They apparently found what they were looking for in Vallini - also because he was able to prove his suitability for the league in his 21 ICE appearances for Asiago. Curious: Vallini would be the first true Bozen native in the white and red squad since Alexander Eggers left in 2018, but at the same time he has never been under contract with HCB himself.

In any case, the club from the state capital has all the trump cards in the court for Vallini. Pustertal has found its goalkeeper team in Bernard and Jake Smith and is therefore out of the race. Vallini also has the AlpsHL clubs as alternatives Merano and ride for the election, who are also looking for goalkeepers, but are currently unable to get them in the exhausted domestic goalkeeper market without financial hussars.
