Vienna is once again losing out to Bolzano

Bolzano and Vienna had an intense exchange of blows that was only decided in a penalty shootout. After 65 equal minutes, it was finally Ty Loney who secured Vienna's additional point with his second penalty of the evening and secured the 2-3 away win. HCB coach Greg Ireland, who had to do without the ailing Mike Halmo and called up Simon Pitschieler, saw an uneventful first third. Both Bolzano and Vienna played from a well-ordered defense, so that chances remained scarce. The guests took advantage of one of the few opportunities to take the lead after just over 1 minutes: While Pitschieler was sitting in the cooler, Nissner completed a remarkable puck relay via Wukovits and Campbell with a one-timer to make it 7-1. As was the case a week ago, Bozen was mostly solid in defense and defended intelligently and disciplinedly over long stretches. However, because the White-Reds were too careless in their own attacks, the Capitals always stayed in the game. Vienna is once again losing out to Bolzano

Exactly one week after the meeting in Vienna/Kagran, HCB Südtirol Alperia and the Vienna Capitals faced each other again on Saturday evening in the ice wave. Just like 7 days ago, it was a duel on equal terms - with the Capitals once again having the better end on their side.
