IHL: The Pirates conquer the top of the table

Things got particularly heated in the Kalterer Raiffeisen Arena, where the Hechte celebrated a surprising 3-1 win against HC Meran. In front of almost 300 spectators, Thomas Pichler, Thomas Pichler and David Stricker put the home team on the road to victory, but Meran was only able to temporarily shorten the score thanks to Flavio Faggioni.

With this win, Kaltern moved past the Aurora Frogs in the table, who bravely stood up to HC Eppan at home, but ultimately lost 1:2. David Ceresa and Tobias Ebner put the guests in front before Michele Covi halved the Aurer deficit shortly before the second break. However, Eppan managed to take the narrow lead over time and thus took the lead from Milan. However, the Lombards have played two fewer games.
