IHL: Eppan and Meran celebrate sweeping victories

Eppan and Meran, currently second and third in the table, rewarded themselves with sweeping victories one day before Christmas Eve. While the Pirates dispatched Fiemme 5-1, the Eagles overran Feltreghaccio 10-3. Auer was also able to master his away game against Chiavenna with flying colors and won 3-1. The outstanding player was Marian Zelger, who shone with two goals and an assist. The only South Tyrolean defeat came in Como: Kaltern had to bow to the home team with a clear score of 2:0 despite a 3-6 lead.
