The 25 World Championship drivers have been determined

Selection coach Clayton Beddoes had already decided on a 26-man squad days ago. From this, the final World Cup line-up emerges automatically, because Thomas Larkin, one of Beddoe's list of candidates, has canceled. The 28-year-old defender helped the Adler Mannheim win the DEL title a week ago, but has now had to withdraw his commitment to the upcoming major event due to an injury. In addition to Nick Plastino, who had already canceled in advance, the Blue Team is missing a second prominent defender.

Italy will therefore go into the dress rehearsal against France with a 25-man squad on Friday (19.30 p.m.) and then into the World Cup tournament the following week. 3 goalkeepers, 9 defenders and 13 strikers should bring down one or two favorites in Bratislava and thus ensure relegation. Four players are available at home for the time being - including Luca Frigo, who, like Larkin, is handicapped by an injury.
