Goalie hero Bernard: “I can hardly believe it”

Thanks to a 4-3 win after a penalty shootout, Italy stayed in the top division of the World Cup and thus ensured the “Miracle of Bratislava”. The Azzurri were of course overjoyed afterwards - especially goalie Andreas Bernard, who had to endure a lot in the last few days.

Thanks to an excellent Andreas Bernhard, the only player to show world-class caliber, the Blue Team remained in the top elite. But I'll stick with it, you shouldn't forget the previous 6 games. With a goal difference of 1 to 45, excluding yesterday's game against Austria, our team has no place in the top elite. The class difference is simply too big. In my opinion, 12 teams are enough in the top elite, then we also have a more attractive and interesting B division.
