Italy's World Cup squad is taking shape

Until Thursday, the Blue Team has moved into its quarters at the Hotel Sheraton in Bolzano South, next door in the Eiswelle, Coach Clayton Beddoes invites him to train every day. On Friday, Italy will play its final World Cup test against France in Cergy-Pontoise.

In the run-up to the dress rehearsal, Beddoes had already significantly reduced his squad. Like the daily newspaper Dolomites writes on Monday, Daniel Glira and the ailing Luca Frigo from HC Bozen, Asiago crack Enrico Miglioranzi and Swiss legionnaire Tommaso Goi were sorted out. The fact that the Ambrì striker was not taken into account is as surprising as that of HCP player Tommaso Traversa and the former Bolzano player Alex Petan, who returned to Canada days ago.

The Italian squad therefore includes 26 players just two weeks before the start of the tournament. One defender position will be eliminated after the France test.
