After numerous corona cases: U20 World Cup canceled

The junior ice hockey world championship was canceled after numerous corona cases. The world association IIHF confirmed on Wednesday (local time) that the tournament in Edmonton and Red Deer, Canada, would be canceled “due to the continued spread of Covid-19 and the Omicron variant”.
