Switzerland defeats Latvia

In what was perhaps a decisive game for a place in the quarter-finals, Switzerland prevailed in an exciting game against Latvia in Group B.

Gregory Hofmann gave the Swiss the lead (34'), only 31 seconds later Miks Indrasis equalized (35'/PP). The Swiss were then unable to take advantage of two minutes with two more men on the ice, but 20-year-old Nico Hischier saved the “Nati” team in the 57th minute. Simon Moser made the decision in the last minute with a goal into the empty goal.
