World Cup debacle for Austria: 1:9 against Sweden

On Thursday in Bratislava, Sweden led the ÖEHV team 15-5 after 0 minutes and ultimately celebrated a 9-1 (5:0,2:0,2:1) victory. The fourth defeat in the fourth game was expected, but not the embarrassing performance in the first third. NHL striker Gabriel Landeskog (Colorado Avalanche), who had only arrived in Slovakia that morning, started the avalanche of goals after 69 seconds. Marcus Kruger (3rd), William Nylander (6th), Adam Larsson (8th) and Adrian Kempe (15th) made the starting third a best shooting.
