Internet hit: Ovechkin celebrates as much as he can

A swim in the fountain in the middle of Washington, intimate cuddles with the Stanley Cup in your own bed, drunk at a baseball match, a dance in the locker room or to blaring disco beats alongside star DJ Tiesto, a “trip” to the roof of a house Coffees, a spontaneous singing performance at a barbecue – Ovechkin's celebration marathon could hardly be crazier.

The Russian superstar, who otherwise keeps a very low profile on social networks, has been followed by cell phone cameras from fellow players and fans for days. The recordings eventually end up on the Internet and ensure that Ovechkin's popularity around the world reaches unprecedented levels.

For 13 years, Alexander Ovechkin waited eagerly to win the Stanley Cup with Washington. Last Friday he was finally released and since then the Caps star's motto has been: party, party, party!
