McDavid and Draisaitl continue to put on the big show

In the 5-3 defeat of the Edmonton Oilers, the two best attackers in the National Hockey League each had two goals and two assists. Germany's "Sportsman of the Year" has already scored 20 goals this season, more than anyone else. McDavid reached the mark of 400 career assists and did so faster than only three professional ice hockey players before him. In this season's scoring list, Draisaitl leads with 40 points ahead of McDavid, who has 35. In the Oilers' 5:3 win over the Arizona Coyotes, both hit the mark twice and recorded 4 scorer points each. Last night, it wasn't just the exceptional strikers from Edmonton that caused a stir, but also the league newcomer Seattle Kraken, who inflicted only their third defeat of the entire season on the Carolina Hurricans in a 2-1 home win. Nico Sturm made it 3-2 after a penalty shootout in the Minnesota Wild's 2-0 win and scored his fourth goal of the season. Moritz Seider and the Detroit Red Wings won 4-2 at home against the St. Louis Blues. Thomas Greiss was not used in goal. National goalkeeper Philipp Grubauer played through the Seattle Kraken's 2-1 win and had a strong 35 blocked shots in the NHL newcomer's home win. For the Carolina Hurricanes it was only the third defeat in regular time. Only Tim Stützle couldn't be satisfied despite his seventh assist of the season. The Ottawa Senators lost 3:6 to the San Jose Sharks.
