After 27 years: Panthers reach Stanley Cup Finals

The Florida Panthers are in the Stanley Cup finals for the second time in their history.

The ice hockey team won their fourth win against the Carolina Hurricanes on Wednesday evening (local time) with a 4:3 win in the fourth game of the NHL Eastern Conference Finals and secured their place in the next round. Matthew Tkachuk scored with 4,9 seconds left to complete the return to the Stanley Cup Finals after a 27-year wait.

The Panthers have only been there so far in 1996, when there were four defeats against the Colorado Avalanche. This time they will most likely face the Vegas Golden Knights, who are 3-0 up against the Dallas Stars in the Western Conference Finals and need just one more win.
