Italy's roadmap to the Olympic qualifying tournament is set

It begins with a twelve-day meeting in Alleghe. From July 17th to 29th, the “Azzurri” will be working in the province of Belluno to prepare for the qualifying tournament for the Olympic Games in their first training camp. During the first meeting, Mair's troops will face high-class opponents from the KHL. On July 24th, Bernard and Co. will duel with the newly crowned champions Metallurg Magnitogorsk in Garmisch-Partenkirchen before facing Vityaz in Cortina five days later. From August 1st to 4th, the national team will set up its training tents in Vipiteno. On August 4th there will be another exchange of blows with the team from Vityaz in Brixen. The final phase of preparation will finally take place from August 27th to 30th. It is not yet clear where these training sessions will take place. What is certain, however, is that a test match against Slovenia is planned for August 29th in Bled, Slovenia. The qualifying tournament for the 2018 Olympic Games will take place in Oslo from September 1st to 4th. There the “Azzurri” meet France, Norway and Kazakhstan.

Italy's roadmap to the Olympic qualifying tournament is set

After a long, exhausting season, the Italian national team will be back on the ice in mid-July. The Blue Team has planned several training camps and high-profile test matches with a view to qualifying for the 2018 Olympics.
