Luca Frigo is moving to HCB Südtirol

The Piedmontese, who weighs an impressive 183 kilograms at 90 centimeters tall, made his Serie A debut with Valpellice in the 2009/10 season. Frigo wore the Bulldogs jersey until the end of the 2011/12 season before the striker moved to the Omaha Lancers in the USHL. Overseas, Luca Frigo played 110 games in which he collected 54 points. In 2014 he returned to Valpellice and managed 25 points in 29 matches before Frigo moved to Kallinge/Ronneby IF before the start of the past season. In Sweden (1st Division) he scored nine goals and the same number of assists in 30 games.

Luca Frigo has been part of the Italian national team for years, first in the youth sector and since 2014 with the seniors. The attacker particularly distinguished himself here, especially at the last World Cup, when the Blue Team secured promotion to the top division.

Frigo doesn't just impress with his physical presence. “He has good positional play and not only shines in the offensive area, but is also well prepared for defensive tasks. “In his last year in Sweden, Frigo learned a lot tactically and technically,” says the Foxes.

The neo-fox is thrilled that he is moving to HC Bozen. “It has been my wish to play for the HCB since I was a child. I haven't played in the EBEL yet, but I can't wait to have this experience. The level is very high and the league already stands out in Europe. I will do my best. Of course it's an advantage that I know a lot of players from the national team. They help me to integrate well into the group,” Frigo is quoted as saying in an initial statement.

He describes himself as a “hard-working striker. I will try to take advantage of all the opportunities that come my way. I’m particularly looking forward to the enthusiastic Bolzano fans, which I can finally experience for myself.”
